Engineering Judgment

I build systems that survive real production pressure.

I build things from scratch, own them end to end, and make them reliable. My work spans custom Java components serving roughly 4 million Navy personnel, complete AWS infrastructure stacks, embedded enterprise applications, and data pipelines that replaced manual processes that used to take hours.

Federal-scale Liferay engineering

Build custom Java portlets, themes, and Service Builder modules for the U.S. Navy's Liferay DXP platform, applying RMF, STIG, Section 508, SonarQube, and secure integration practices throughout delivery.

Complete AWS delivery stack

Architected and built Saba LMS integrations with Vue/Nuxt SSR, ECS, ECR, RDS, Route 53, Application Load Balancer, and branch-based GitHub Actions deployments.

Data pipeline replacement

Built Node.js AWS Lambda workflows that replaced a fragile manual data pipeline, loading DynamoDB reliably with proper error handling during a system transition.

Near-instant geospatial processing

Replaced hours-long image-based outage map rendering with an FME pipeline that converted shapefiles directly into JavaScript files consumed natively by Google and Bing Maps.
